Hearing Aid Compatible Headsets

These headsets connect directly to hearing aids with telecoil, making it easier to hear on landline phones when both in the home or work environment. To improve the sound quality and comfortability, additional amplifiers and ear cushions can be purchased, depending on your needs and the compatibility of the hearing aid and headset.

Headsets and hearing aids come in various sizes and styles; you should try each headset prior to purchase to ensure they can be positioned around your hearing aid to avoid feedback (whistling) or miscommunication. Additionally, compatibility will vary depending on the style and brand of your hearing aid as well as the telephone system used at home or by your company. For use at work, please contact your IT department or phone contractor to confirm compatibility. If you have any questions about the Telecoil in your hearing aid, cochlear implant processor or BAHA, please contact your hearing device provider for further information.

How do you use these accessories?

Hearing aid compatible headsets can be both corded and cordless

The headset is placed over your hear and ears, ensuring that the ear pads are placed at the top of your ear near your hearing aid microphone or Cochlear Speech Processor microphone. Incorrect positioning can create a feedback or lead to your hearing aids picking up noises in surrounding environment rather than through the headset.

Correct positioning will depend on the size and style of your hearing aid and selected headset.
